The Cardiff model opens at English Rows in Naperville

The Cardiff model home wowed visitors at the recent grand opening of English Rows, a new townhouse community with a mix of Victorian and traditional architecture in a prime Naperville location.

A stunning English garden is the centerpiece of the community. With a reflecting pool, statues, and seating areas, the garden's planting beds are interspersed throughout the grounds in a traditional symmetrical layout, said Cheryl Bonk, vice president of sales and marketing for M/I Homes.

"It creates a lovely view for the homes surrounding it, but the garden is also a wonderful amenity for everyone in the community to enjoy."

The M/I Homes community offers four, four-story floor plans. Townhouses include a basement, two to four bedrooms, 1½ to 3½ baths and a two-car garage. With flexible spaces such as lofts and lower-level bonus rooms, these townhouses offer a comfortable option for a range of buyers, from families to empty-nesters.

The quiet and scenic enclave offers a convenient location along the Route 59 corridor. The community backs to the premier Tamarack Golf Club with select homesites offering golf course views, while some sites face the English garden.

Residents are also near several neighborhood parks, including Frontier Park, Commissioners Park and Tall Grass Lakes, which offer playgrounds, sports courts and fields and walking paths.

The featured model is the Cardiff, the community's largest design, which has a base price starting at $339,990. It offers 2,643 square feet, two bedrooms, 2½ baths, a loft, two-car garage and balcony. The home showcases several optional features.

With interior design by Mary Cook & Associates, the furnished model home exhibits a light, bright interior with lots of windows and a celery green, mustard and gray palette. With a nod to nature, the décor reveals butterflies, birds and other natural elements.

On the main floor, a sofa, two end tables and two chairs furnish the living room, where horizontal stripes on the wall create interest.

The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, cream cabinetry topped with gorgeous granite countertops, a white tile backsplash and breakfast bar. A small "keeping room" sitting area with lots of windows is adjacent to the kitchen.

A table set for six occupies the breakfast area and cabinetry with granite countertops extends into this area, as well.

Upstairs, the loft features a comfortable seating arrangement with a television set and striped wall treatment.

A deep tray ceiling tops the master bedroom where a Juliette balcony offers incredible views of the gardens. A walk-in closet and private bath with dual bowl vanities and a spalike walk-in shower with sprays and seat complete the suite.

A second bedroom shows a gray bed cover with cream ruffle and green fabric headboard along with matching end tables and lamps.

On the lower level, a study with a whimsical golf theme features a desk, built-in bookcase and several chairs along with an area rug with a geometric design. This level also includes a half bath. This flexible space offers many possibilities.

Other floor plans include the Allerton with 1,808 square feet, priced from $289,990; the Downton with 1,843 square feet, starting at $297,990; and the Bainbridge with 2,074 square fee, base priced at $309,990.

The model sits at 4103 Royal Mews Circle on the west side of Route 59, just south of 103rd Street in Naperville. Sales hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday through Tuesday, 1 to 6 p.m. Friday and closed Wednesday and Thursday.
