St. Theresa School Students Host Annual Senior Luncheon!

The 5th and 6th grade students of St. Theresa School in Palatine hosted the annual Senior Citizen Luncheon last week. The luncheon had close to 200 seniors attend from Tamarack Retirement Residence, St. Joseph's Home, Plum Grove Residence, seniors from the parish and grandparents of STS students. Our guests were greeted by Mayor Schwantz, they played bingo, enjoyed a delicious lunch and afterward were treated to a wonderful performance with musical numbers by the 5th grade class under the music direction of Jolene Kraught, music teacher.

The theme this year was "Think Spring." Beautiful place mats were individually designed by students and set at each table.

Many donations were supplied by local businesses including but not limited to: Eurofresh Deli, Palatine Inn, Bakers Square, Kinsch Florist, Caputos grocery, and parents of the 5th & 6th grade students. "Our students develop a sense of compassion and the importance of supporting our local community, young and old," said Ms. Mary Keenley, principal of St. Theresa School.

St. Theresa School has been teaching children in the Palatine area for over 60 years. Programs are offered to Preschool through 8th grade. To learn more about the school or to schedule a visit sttheresaschool.com or call (847)359-1820.
