Softball: Lake County roundup

Reagen Radke, Juliana Frusolone and Brandy Heraty all homered, as Grayslake Central's softball team celebrated Senior Day with a 7-4 win over Cary-Grove in a Fox Valley Conference crossover Thursday.

Heraty (2-for-3, 2 RBI) was the only Ram with more than one hit. Emma Eiserman singled and walked for Grayslake Central (15-20, 5-7).

Radke pitched 3 2/2 innings scoreless innings, striking out four and allowing only 2 hits to earn the win.

Crystal Lake South 6, Grayslake North 5: Brook Phillips was 2-for-4 with a home run and 2 RBI for the host Knights in their Fox Valley Fox loss.

Lauren Olsen and Jenna Pozezinski also had RBI for Grayslake North.

Mundelein 12, Antioch 6: The Mustangs received 2 hits apiece from Maddie Zazas, Maria DeVito, Hannah Bulgart, Maggie Mahar and Kaitlyn Griffin in the North Suburban crossover.

Zazas' double accounted for the only extra-base hit for Mundelein (25-8). DeVito and Jordyn West (1-for-3) each knocked in a pair of runs.

Antioch (23-9) got 3-for-4 efforts from Jessica Pedersen and Ashley Stephens. Pedersen doubled twice, and Taylor Schiltz had a double as well. Pedersen and Jessica Tyrell (2-for-3) had 2 RBI apiece.

Stevenson 15, Round Lake 9: Taylor Koenigs homered twice and drove in 4 runs for the Patriots in the North Suburban crossover.

Mike Crisantos and Hayley Steinberg were both 3-for-4 for Round Lake. The Panthers got triples from Solina Moore, Kylie Bart and Katie Bleim, and doubles from Crisantos, Steinberg and Raven Nicoline.

Lakes 13, Lake Forest 11: Rachel Becker and Jen Reed both went 5-for-6, as the Eagles captured the North Suburban crossover for their 20th win.

Reed doubled and knocked in 4 runs. Ally Perdue (3-for-4) doubled twice for Lakes (20-11). Melanie Grupka was 3-for-5.

Maggie Mack and Amy Wilson were both 3-for-5 for Lake Forest.

Lake Zurich 4, Vernon Hills 3: Brittney Pettinger doubled twice and finished 3-for-4 for the Bears in the North Suburban crossover.

Lake Zurich got 2-for-3 efforts from McKenna Zobel (double) and Marin Allgood.

Izzy Cirone tripled for Vernon Hills.
