Campton Hills advisory board recruiting new members

Shortly after its incorporation in 2007, the Campton Hills Community Relations Advisory Board was formed.

The committee is responsible for serving the residents, attracting businesses, and building community relations by embracing family structure. The primary purpose of this committee is to engage residents and encourage their participation in community events.

Sue Windland was appointed to the Community Relations Board on Aug. 21, 2007, bringing in a wealth of information and excitement as an original member. Jayne Holley was then appointed to the committee on March 3, 2009. She also contributed valuable skills and enthusiasm. On June 18, 2013, Sue Windland and Jayne Holley were both appointed co-chair of the committee collaborating most effectively as a dynamic team; which they have done ever since.

Windland and Holley actively helped prepare and execute village events such as National Night Out, pancake breakfast, and Winter Wonders at Historic Corron Farm, just to name a few.

They have demonstrated a great deal of passion and dedication while serving the village. They successfully coordinated events helped strengthen relationships with local residents, businesses, and organizations. In addition, innovative opportunities and networks have been formulated based on the many efforts of these self-motivated Community Relations members.

Sue Windland and Jayne Holley were both recognized for their outstanding performance and contributions at the village board meeting May 13. We look forward to an even greater year filled with even more opportunities.

The Community Relations Citizens Advisory Board is currently recruiting new members. If you are interested in building relationships and planning community events, contact Campton Hills Village President Harry Blecker at president@villageofcamptonhills.org.

An upcoming event sponsored by the Community Relations Citizens Advisory Board is the National Night Out Aug. 4.
