Grayslake library to host outdoor summer concerts

Grayslake Area Public Library's summer concert series was announced Wednesday. Sponsored by the fundraising group Friends of the Library, there will be five free concerts on the library lawn, weather permitting. The library will provide limited seating and encourages visitors to bring their own blankets or chairs. Officials said the concerts are appropriate for all ages. Kicking off at 7 p.m. Monday, June 1, will be the Potts and Pans Steelband. The band is internationally acclaimed and has mostly Northern Illinois University musicians and graduates. The library is at 100 Library Lane west of Route 83.
