COD Student Activities Coordinator Named North Central College Outstanding Alumni

College of DuPage Student Activities Coordinator Stephanie Quirk recently received the Outstanding Alumni Award from North Central College.

The Outstanding Alumni Award is presented annually to one or more alumni who have excelled in their careers and have demonstrated service to the community and to North Central College.

Quirk, who heads the Living Leadership Program (LLP) at COD, earned her master's degree from North Central in Leadership, Ethics & Values and revised College of DuPage's LLP as part of her capstone project. She currently is pursuing her Ph.D. in Values-Driven Leadership at Benedictine University.

"Very few students see their capstone projects as serious efforts to build a career," said Quirk's Master's Advisor Tom Cavenagh. "It's been a great benefit to have Stephanie take the hard work she did for her master's program and use it to evolve LLP into a more theoretically grounded program."
