Girl Scouts seek recreational donations for camping
Are you cleaning your garage to get ready for summer? Looking for a place to donate your gently-used recreational items, like camping tents, pool noodles, and swim goggles?
Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois is currently seeking donations of new and gently-used outdoor activity items from the community.
Donations of these items allows more of the organization's funds to go toward providing camperships and financial assistance to girls who want to attend Girl Scout camp this summer.
You can find the full list of needed items on www.amazon.com. Click on "Wish List" (top right) and enter "GSNI Camps Wishlist" to see the registry, or choose from the list below.
Donations can be dropped off at your closest Girl Scout Service Center (Elgin, Freeport, Rockford, Rock Falls, or Sugar Grove) during regular business hours. For more information, contact Carly at (815) 962-5591, ext. 7173.
