Hawthorn Dist. 73 extends summer school registration

Hawthorn School District 73 has extended its summer school registration to allow parents to enroll their children in classes in preparation for the upcoming school year.

The Hawthorn summer school program has more than 50 classes for students to choose from, such as video game designing, animation station, cartoon cliffhangers, detective club, theater, reality TV, discovering dinosaurs, and dance fusion. Classes are offered from 8 to 11:45 a.m. Monday, July 6 through Friday, Aug. 7.

To register for classes, parents need to stop in to Hawthorn Middle School North, 201 Hawthorn Parkway, Vernon Hills, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
