Schaumburg mayor honors Bike to Work Week

Schaumburg Mayor Al Larson continued his annual tradition of honoring "Bike to Work Week" by leading a group of village residents on a Friday morning ride to his own workplace at village hall.

This year, he and Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 Board President Charlotte Kegarise teamed up to pedal a four-wheeled bicycle fashioned to look like a car.

The ride began at the Schaumburg Park District's Meineke Recreation Center and used both streets and bike paths to reach the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center.
