Have a splashtastic summer at Schaumburg Park District pools

Dive into fun this summer at one of Schaumburg Park District's outdoor pools!

Bock Pool, 1223 W. Sharon Lane, will open May 23 and will have special hours May 26 to May 29, June 1 to June 5 and June 8 to June 12. Summer pool hours will begin June 13. Bock Pool is home to a wading pool, diving area, children's slide and swim lessons. The pool's newest feature is the AquaClimb, a 9-foot high climbing wall.

Atcher Island, 730 S. Springinsguth Road, and Meineke Pool, 220 E. Weathersfield Way, will open June 6. The tropical themed Atcher Island features water and bowl slides, a wading pool, sprayground and concessions stand.

Meineke Pool features water and drop slides, a 50-meter Olympic pool, separate diving well, water playground and swim lessons. Meineke will have special hours June 8 to June 12. Summer pool hours will begin June 13.

"It's going to be a fun summer at District pools," said Heather Hagstrom, aquatics supervisor. "Atcher Island is celebrating 10 years! Every Friday, the first 75 people will receive giveaways and staff will play games with visitors from noon to 3 p.m. We'll also be celebrating Aquatics Appreciation Week with regional themes at each pool including food, games and decorations."

Admission is by daily use fee or membership. Atcher Island daily use resident fee is $5 for youth and $7 for adults, and the non-resident fee is $7 for youth and $9 for adults. Bock and Meineke pool's daily use resident fee is $4 for youth and $5 for adults. The non-resident fee is $5 for youth and $6 for adults.
