3 from Northwest suburbs to be ordained Saturday

Several men with ties to the Northwest suburbs are among those who will be ordained in a ceremony led by Archbishop Blase Cupich at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago. The 14 men range in age from 26 to 47.

Those from the Northwest suburbs are:

• Matthew Robert Alexander, 26, of Hoffman Estates, who will pursue postgraduate studies at the Pontifical Faculty of Theology at Mundelein and be assigned to St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Mundelein. His first Mass is 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Queen of the Rosary Parish in Elk Grove Village.

• Michael Robert Olson, 26, of Deer Park, will be assigned to St. Christina Parish in Chicago and will celebrate his first Mass 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis de Sales Parish in Lake Zurich.

• Nicholas Evan Cavallari, 35, of Northfield, will be assigned to St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish in Oak Lawn and will celebrate his first Mass 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter Parish in Volo (Round Lake).

Those assigned to the North and Northwest suburbs are:

• Adam Martin Blatt, 33, of Huntington, West Virginia, who will be assigned to Prince of Peace Parish in Lake Villa. He will celebrate his first Mass there 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

• Michael William Grzesik, 47, of Flint, Michigan, who will be assigned to St. Mary Parish in Lake Forest.

• Nicholas John Kostyk, 30, from Chicago, who will be assigned to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Glenview.

• Piotr Pawel Samborski, 27, from Siedlce, Poland, who will be assigned to St. John Brébeuf Parish in Niles.

• Leonard Heinrich, 26, from Chicago, who will be assigned to Saints Faith, Hope, and Charity Parish in Winnetka.

Others being ordained Saturday are Pawel Adamus, 30, of Poland; José M. Careaga, 35, of Mexico; Matthew Julio Lam, 38, born in Havana, Cuba; Jarosław Adrian Maciejewski, 30, born in Olsztyn, Poland; Lukas Oduor Ouda, 37, born in Nandi Hills, Kenya; and Robert Douglas Regan, 46, from Berwyn.
