Larkin 8, Streamwood 4: Jon Lenz and Tanner Gardon each had 2 hits and each had a double and an RBI to lead the Royals (9-18, 6-14) to a win in the Upstate Eight River. Keegan Anderson also had 2 hits and an RBI for Larkin and Will King picked up the win with relief help from Nick Fillmore. Tim Crom had 3 hits and 2 RBI for Streamwood (4-21, 3-15) while Hayden Holota added 2 hits and Jose Aguilar had a double. Jr Alvarez was the losing pitcher.
South Elgin 2, West Aurora 1: Max Keough tossed a 4-hitter with 5 strikeouts and no walks as the Storm (14-7, 11-7) won in the UEC Valley. Dane Toppel had 2 hits and Kyle Hays added a double for South Elgin.
Jacobs 6, McHenry 4: Jeff Sidor had 2 hits with an RBI and Casey Dennison pitched 6 strong innings to lift Jacobs (21-7, 10-3) to a Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win.
Grayslake Central 12, Hampshire 6: In the FVC Fox, Matt Kielbasa had 2 hits including a double and 2 RBI for the Whip-Purs (14-12, 5-10). Jacob Manning suffered the loss.
Geneva 8, Elgin 1: Tom Sobeski drove in the Maroons' only run in this UEC River loss. Clay White took the loss on the mound for Elgin (7-21, 3-16).
Cary-Grove 10, Huntley 3: Zach Forney had 2 hits and 5 RBI and Nick Franz tossed a 2-hitter to lead the Trojans (19-6-2, 12-1) in the FVC Valley. Larkin Hanselmann added 2 hits for C-G.
Neuqua Valley 3, Bartlett 2: Myles Zilinsky and Austin Hilvert each had 2 hits and Michael Pfaender drove in both runs for Bartlett (14-13, 11-8) in the UEC Valley. Brandon Kendall took the loss despite allowing just 6 hits.
Elgin Academy 7, Morgan Park Academy 6: Karl Rauschenberger had 2 hits including a home run and 2 RBI as the Hilltoppers (8-12, 2-8) won in the Independent School League. Ian Wilson had 2 hits and 4 RBI in the win and Andrew Wilson added a double. Jonathan Cruz was the winning pitcher.
Harvest Christian 15, IMSA 1: Ryan Park was 3-for-3 with an RBI and Chad Jakel had 2 hits including a home run and 2 RBI as the Lions (4-15) rolled to a nonconference win. Zach Pawelek (2B) added 3 RBI for Harvest while Zach Zabran had a double and 2 RBI and Dylan Lockwood a double and an RBI. Jakel was also the winning pitcher, going 3 innings and getting all 9 of his outs via strikeout. He allowed 1 hit.
