Long Grove's chocolate weekend
Join Long Grove's chocolate fest May 15-17 for a walking tour of downtown businesses that includes chocolate samples along the way. Along with family-friendly stops for sweets, highlights for adults include the custom-brewed chocolate beer from Finch's Beer Company, chocolate martinis at Enzo & Lucia Italian Restaurant, chocolate cocktails from Long Grove Cafe, as well as burgers with chocolate barbecue sauce at The Village Tavern and more. Sixteen Candles plays from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday, and American English plays from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $5. Long Grove Chocolate Festival takes place in downtown Long Grove. El Barrio's tequila dinner
Tequila lovers unite at El Barrio Restaurant and Lounge's tequila dinner from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 21. The evening features Correlejo Tequilas paired with two small appetizers, an entree and a dessert. Two margaritas made with the silver and reposado Correlejo Tequila come with the dinner, as well as snifters of all of Correlejo Tequila's flavors. $50 per person, tax and gratuity not included.
