Prairie Singers to offer 'A Broadway Serenade' May 31

A great afternoon of fun and delightful remembrances are yours to enjoy at "A Broadway Serenade" on Sunday, May 31.

More than 60 residents of Sun City-Huntley join together to produce the harmonious music of the Prairie Singers. This group has been a part of the entertainment activities of the Sun City community for more than 15 years.

The spring concert is this year's first contribution to the great Sun City lifestyle they all enjoy, just "Live Your Dream." They wish to share their dreams with all their fellow residents and the general public. The music of this concert is of a very energetic nature, interlaced with some great old lively Broadway musicals and movie songs.

You must be prepared to "Not Dance," but you can hum along with some of these great Broadway tunes, like "Showtime," "Luck Be A Lady," "Get Me to the Church on Time," and "You'll Never Walk Alone." Your heart will pound to "You Raise Me Up," and you will want to stand to the patriotic tune of "Stars and Stripes Forever." These senior singers have their own majorettes and will be joined by the Huntley High School color guard.

The concert will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at the Huntley High School auditorium, 13719 Harmony Road.

This is a great afternoon of entertainment for family or couples.

For ticket information, call (847) 757-8435. Tickets will be on sale just inside the Prairie Lodge main entrance from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 22, or stop by the lobby of your local banks. Tickets also will be available at the door. Tickets are $10 or $3 for children, age 2-12.
