Grayslake post office will showcase Woodland student art

Grayslake's post office will put on display 12 pieces of Woodland Elementary West student artwork later this month.

The exhibition will begin with a ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, May 29, at the post office, 75 Commerce Drive in Grayslake. The ceremony also will include the unveiling of the new Martin Ramirez Forever stamps, featuring artwork from the noted folk artist, as well as a showcase of art created by students at Gages Lake School. Students will receive a tour of the post office following the dedication.

"We are fortunate to have partnerships with our local community agencies and organizations," said Woodland Elementary West art teacher Marion Beram. "I am very proud of our students' artwork and know that they will be enjoyed by visitors of the Grayslake post office while on display."
