Facebook law violates students' privacy

I am concerned about my privacy as a student from the glaring eye of the school district here in Illinois.

Due to a law passed at the beginning of this year, schools are able to demand my Facebook password, but where will it end? What dictates a reasonable cause for them to suspect me of violating a school rule online?

I am not comfortable in the slightest with the idea of my teachers prying into my social life, seeing as I like to keep my school life and social life separate.

It's not that I have much to hide, seeing as most of my posts are about wishing people a happy holiday or birthday. It's simply the fact that under what they decide to be a reasonable cause, they can access my private messages or personal information.

"Reasonable cause" varies from person to person, and can easily be taken advantage of. I simply believe that my privacy should be maintained as a student.
