White Sox storm back, but still fall to Brewers

MILWAUKEE — The White Sox were really down Monday night against the Brewers.

The Sox gradually got back on their feet and erased Milwaukee's 6-0 lead, tying the game at 7 in the eighth inning when Adam Eaton's fourth hit of the game, a single, scored Alexei Ramirez.

It looked like the White Sox were going to take the lead when Melky Cabrera followed Eaton with a deep liner to center field.

Carlos Gomez tracked the drive down and made an over-the-shoulder catch, and that seemed to give the Brewers momentum.

It showed in the bottom of the eighth, when Sox reliever Zach Duke, who pitched for Milwaukee last year, gave up a 2-run homer to Elian Herrera and a solo shot to Khris Davis to lift the Brewers to a 10-7 win.
