Eiermann throws 1-hitter for Naperville Central

Taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning, Ryan Eiermann fired a 1-hitter with 12 strikeouts and no walks for the Redhawks (12-12, 6-8), who won their second straight against WW South (11-14, 9-5). Billy Oliver drove in 3 runs and Justin Wegner had 2 hits.

Naperville North 5, Glenbard North 2:

Two insurance runs in the top of the seventh helped the Huskies (11-13, 8-6) hold on in the DuPage Valley Conference. Luke Brennan was the complete-game winning pitcher. Alex Garon drove in 2 runs and Christian Robert had 2 hits. Zach Heck went 3-for-4 for Glenbard North (16-8, 10-4), which still holds a one-game lead atop the DVC standings.

Waubonsie Valley 3, Larkin 1:

After allowing a run in the first inning, Preston Everts completed the game with six shutout innings as the Warriors (21-4, 16-2) won the Upstate Eight Conference crossover. Waubonsie Valley scored all its runs in the second inning despite managing only 3 hits for the game from Luke Marzano, Garret Howicz and Brandon Petersen.

Lake Park 2, Wheaton North 1:

A.J. Ackerly struck out 10 in a 5-hitter for the Lancers (10-12, 5-9) in their DuPage Valley Conference win over Wheaton North (7-17, 3-11). Connor Cook's fourth-inning RBI single drove in the go-ahead run. Jason Szumski tripled home the Falcons' lone run.

Benet 4-11, Marian Central 1-2:

The Redwings (15-11, 6-6) swept in the East Suburban Catholic behind a 3-hitter from Mike Powers in the opener and Conor Hayes' 3-for-4 performance with a homer and 6 RBI in the second game.

Downers South 5, Morton 0:

The Mustangs (20-3, 13-0) moved a step closer to a second straight unbeaten romp in the West Suburban Gold behind Peter Hamot's 1-hitter with 8 strikeouts over 6 innings. Joey Engel went 3-for-3 and Danny Oriente added 2 hits.
