Da Vinci Academy to feature summer enrichment classes in June

With the summer months fast approaching, parents in the Fox Valley area are busy making plans for how their children will spend their days. Among the usual choices of sports camps and park district options, Da Vinci Academy is featuring a selection of enrichment classes for students who have completed 3-year-old pre-kindergarten through seventh grade.

"We structured the program so families can pick and choose their classes based on the child's topic-area interests," said Amanda Davey, director of admissions.

With three sessions all in June, families can start their summer off right by choosing from diverse class options such classes as LEGO Robotics, Math Detectives, Kid Chemistry, Games of Strategy, and Minecraft for the Mind. Other classes explore topics that include drama, cultural studies, baking and candy making, ecosystems, geography, history, and chess.

Summer Enrichment opens its doors to invite not only Da Vinci Academy students, but also children from the community to experience what makes the school a special place for bright learners. "More than 50 percent of those who attended the Da Vinci Academy Summer Enrichment program last year were from the community and were not current school-year students," Davey shares. "While we have registrations currently rolling in from returning summer families, we look forward to meeting the many new children who have registered this year!"
