A 27-year-old Long Grove native missing from Milwaukee for more than a year was confirmed dead yesterday, officials say. Kelly Dwyer, a graduate of Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, had been living in Milwaukee when she vanished in October 2013. Full story.
Three hurt in I-55 motorcycle crash near Bolingbrook
A four-motorcycle crash last night near Bolingbrook shut down Interstate 55 for more than 30 minutes during rush hour, state police said. The motorcycles, which were traveling together, somehow crashed about 5:15 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-55 over Route 53, said Illinois State Police Master Sgt. R.A. Caves. Full story.

Teen involved in deadly street race crash arrested in Chicago
An Antioch Township teen who escaped from Lake County work release jail where he was serving a 30-month sentence for a fatal street race crash has been arrested on Chicago's South Side, authorities said. An Antioch Township man was sentenced to 30 years in prison yesterday for killing his girlfriend in 2012 after an afternoon and evening of drinking. Elgin man caught with heroin after chase, car fire
A 28-year-old Elgin man was caught with heroin after leading authorities on a chase that ended when his car rolled over and caught fire near Santa's Village Azoosment Park in East Dundee. Elijah C. Pittman is charged with possession of a controlled substance, aggravated fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, driving under the influence and a host of other traffic offenses. Full story.
