Hoffman Estates Fire Dept. wants to thank people who stopped to help

The Hoffman Estates Fire Department is asking for the public's help in finding a family who helped save the life of a resident on May 2 by performing CPR until paramedics arrived. The fire department wants to commend the people who stopped to help the person, who collapsed near Rohrssen and Shoe Factory roads at about 2:20 p.m. that day. According to other witnesses, the family of three were in a black car, possibly southbound, when it stopped to help in the obvious emergency. They all left quietly before the paramedics' own work was done. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hoffman Estates Fire Department at (847) 843-4825.
