Blackhawks Antoine Vermette's favorite playoff moment

The Daily Herald is providing readers with a player's favorite playoff moment each game day throughout the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Antoine Vermette, who came to the Hawks at the trade deadline this season, said every goal at this time of year is special, but he really remembers assisting on a Mike Fisher goal in 2004 that gave Ottawa a 2-1 victory over Toronto in double OT and tied the series at three games a piece.

"I got an assist on that winning goal to tie the series at home," Vermette said. "That was pretty neat, pretty exciting as a young guy coming in with all the hype and the excitement around the long games and the rivalry that was going on with Ottawa and Toronto."
