Long Grove Chocolate Fest returns with more for the grownups

Long Grove's Chocolate Fest will get a grown-up spin when the three-day event returns with longer nightlife hours next weekend.

Sure, there will be chocolate-dipped strawberries and the beloved cider doughnuts from Long Grove Confectionery.

But chocolate also will find its way into adult beverages: chocolate beer brewed by the Finch's Beer Company and chocolate martinis by Enzo & Lucia Italian Restaurant.

The village also has allowed longer hours, with live music closing out the fest at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, May 15-16.

The headliners are The Hot Sauce Committee on Friday, Sixteen Candles on Saturday, and American English on Sunday.

Youngsters aren't ignored. The “KidZone” will feature a magician, face-painting and other family-friendly activities.

Tickets are $5, kids are 12 and under are free. For info, visit visitlonggrove.com.
