Audition for Schaumburg Park District's Street Theatre

The Schaumburg Park District's Street Theatre is celebrating its 37th season and hosting auditions.

Street Theatre is a paid, summer traveling drama company for ages 16 to 25. Auditions will be held 1 to 4 p.m., May 16 and 17. Plays are held at several locations throughout Schaumburg.

"Young actors will gain experience in front of live audiences," said Beth Waller, cultural arts supervisor. "Sometimes the audience participates and it gets even more exciting."

Performances run June through July with rehearsals beginning in May. This year's free family-friendly performances include Hyronomous A. Frog, The Loathsome Lady and Jack and the Beanstalk.

If interested in auditioning for the company, email bewaller@parkfun.com. List the date you want to audition. Participants must plan to stay from 1 to 4 p.m.
