Human Trafficking Presentation in Wheaton on May 30

Alicia Kozakiewicz, the victim of an Internet predator and founder of "The Alicia Project," an Internet safety and awareness program, is speaking at St. Matthew United Church of Christ on Saturday, May 30 at 10am. FBI Special Agent Vick Lombardo will also give a short presentation and will be available to answer questions about human trafficking.

Alicia has testified before Congress, has participated in Internet safety films for the FBI, and has been the subject of award-winning Internet safety films for PBS. Alicia has lobbied for the Federal Protect Our Children Act and the state version of the bill, Alicia's Law.

Alicia will speak about human trafficking, how it can affect any of us, and how parents can teach their tweens and teens to safely navigate the Internet. You will be educated about the importance of having appropriate "settings" on mobile devices, recognizing suspicious activity, and knowing where to report and what to do about dangerous events.

Alicia will be speaking at St. Matthew United Church of Christ, 1420 S. Gables Blvd., Wheaton. This is a free event.
