District 304 to host party for retiring faculty, staff
Geneva Unit District 304 invites the community to the eighth annual Retirement Open House Thursday, May 7, in the Geneva Middle School South cafeteria, 1415 Viking Drive. A drop-in reception will be from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., followed by a brief recognition ceremony from 4:15 to 4:30 p.m.
This year's retirees are: Fran Anderson, English Language Learners at Fabyan and Mill Creek elementary schools; Pamela Cabeen, French teacher at Geneva High School; Ann Cardile, first-grade teacher at Western Avenue Elementary School; Diane Chapman, social studies teacher at Geneva Middle School South; Craig Collins, assistant superintendent of human resources; Peggy Crawford, principal's secretary at Mill Creek Elementary School; Cathy Dodge, first-grade teacher at Harrison Street Elementary School; Kathy Durrenberger, special education teacher at Harrison Street Elementary School; Ellen Gauntt, special education assistant at Geneva Middle School South; Tom Grubaugh, social studies teacher at Geneva High School; Bob Holmes, art teacher at Geneva Middle School South; Mickey Holsteen, special education assistant at Geneva Middle School South; Elizabeth Janowiak, district director of technology; Cathy Johnson, third-grade teacher at Fabyan Elementary School; Mary Jane Johnson, guidance counselor at Geneva High School; Susan Khalaieff, social studies teacher at Geneva High School; Anne Krahulec, family and consumer science teacher at Geneva Middle School North; Patty O'Neil, assistant superintendent of learning and teaching; Beth Plachetka, social worker at Geneva Middle School South; Nancy Powers, third-grade teacher at Western Avenue Elementary School; Ann Ramsey, Acceleration & Enrichment at Heartland Elementary School; Carla Weeks, family and consumer science teacher at Geneva Middle School South; Carol Young, kindergarten teacher at Harrison Street Elementary School; and Peggy Young, kindergarten teacher at Fabyan Elementary School.
