Part-time positions available at Feed My Starving Children

Christian hunger relief organization Feed My Starving Children is looking for two team leaders to work at the packing facility at 742 E. Park Ave. in Libertyville.

At the FMSC meal-packing facility, adults and children ages 5 and older hand-assemble MannaPack meals consisting of rice, soy nuggets, dehydrated vegetables and flavoring with 20 vitamins and minerals. The activity draws families and groups together while feeding the hungry.

As a team leader, the individual would host and direct large volunteer groups of adults and youth in packaging Feed My Starving Children food products and create a positive experience for volunteers. The team leader would also perform general labor and warehousing tasks.

"The team leader positions are ideal for motivated, enthusiastic individuals with strong interpersonal and communications skills," FMSC Libertyville site supervisor John Schmelzel said.

To apply, download the application at www.fmsc/employmentapplication and send it to hr@fmsc.org. Type "Team Leader-LI" and your name into the email subject line.

A Christian nonprofit founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children tackles world hunger by sending volunteer-packed, nutritious meals to more than 50 countries, where they're used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty.

Last year, FMSC welcomed nearly 900,000 volunteers to pack more than 225 million meals. The Minnesota-based charity spends more than 90 percent of total donations directly on feeding the hungry and has earned the highest four-star rating from Charity Navigator for 10 consecutive years.
