Laurels for Libertyville's Lauret after no-hitter

Libertyville's Jessie Lauret improved to 3-0 this spring by tossing a no-hitter as Libertyville's softball team topped Lake Forest 11-1 in five innings on Monday in a North Suburban Lake matchup.

Lauret rolled up 8 strikeouts and gave up only 2 walks. Sam Hilldale and Hannah Heraty each had 3 hits for the Wildcats.

Antioch 6, Vernon Hills 5: Ashley Stephens went 3-for-4 at the plate for Antioch, which scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to win. Stephens had a double and a triple. Annie Wagner also had 3 hits and Jill Foote added 2 hits. Dana Meline went 3-for-3 for Vernon Hills while Dani Comitor added 2 hits, including a double.

Carmel 17, Benet 10: Dani Delozier, Emma Bartz and Sarah Koesser each had a home run for Carmel.

Wauconda 10, Round Lake 0: Wauconda out-hit Round Lake 13-1. Sara Ricci, Kayla Wedl and Paige Motley each had 3 hits for Wauconda.

Zion-Benton 9, Lake Zurich 7: Amanda Guercio and Jessie Puccinelli each had 3 hits for Lake Zurich. All three of Puccinelli's hits were doubles.
