Andrew Hill belted a pair of home runs, including a grand slam, and Warren's baseball team cruised to an 11-0 win over visiting Fremd in nonconference action Saturday.
The Bradley-bound Hill finished 2-for-3 with 6 RBI. Chris Mathieu was also 2-for-3. Both he and Michael Rosenberg doubled for Warren (16-8), while Matt Burch was 2-for-2.
Sam LaMotte earned the complete-game win, allowing 4 hits in 5 innings of work. He struck out six and did not walk a batter.
Fremd earned a 7-3 victory in a second matchup between the teams.
Mundelein 6, McHenry 5: Mundelein survived a 2-run rally by McHenry in the bottom of the seventh to get the nonconference win. Sam Osisek went 2-for 3, Brendan Murphy and Reese Dolan doubled and Mundelein improved to 19-5 as Reese Dolan earned the victory.
Vernon Hills 7, Wheeling 6: Four pitches into the game, Drew Winegardner hit a home run for Vernon Hills, which hung on to get the nonconference win.
Winegardner also had a double on the day and drove in 2 runs. Connor McNamara also had 2 hits.
Winning pitcher Sam Perlin threw a strikeout to end the game as Wheeling was threatening.
Stevenson 14, Buffalo Grove 4: Robby McGaha had 2 hits, including a home run, and drove in 3 runs to lead Stevenson to the big win. The Patriots were up 7-0 after two innings and finished with 13 hits.
Carter Baretz topped Stevenson with 3 hits and 4 RBI while Willie Bourbon, Jack Cappalli and Christian Dutler each added 2 hits.
Winning pitcher Michael Kingery allowed no walks over four innings.
Libertyville 9, Elk Grove 6: Mitch Townsend, Ben Manski, Chase Patterson and Tim Calamari each had 2 hits as Libertyville out-hit Elk Grove 13-9. Riley Lees added a triple for the Wildcats.
Winning pitcher Andrew Plunkett had 4 strikeouts and just 1 walk in 3⅓ innings.
Hersey 8, Antioch 6: Ben Gutke had 2 hits and drove in 2 runs to lead Antioch.
