Letter to Editor: IRS is corrupt as politics

Where was the IRS ... what were they doing all this time?

"After a Reuters review found errors in how the (Clinton) foundation reported government donors on its taxes, the charity said last week it would refile at least five annual tax returns. The errors appeared on the tax forms 990 that all nonprofit organizations must file annually with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service to maintain their tax-exempt status."(Reuters, Sunday, April 26, 2015)

REUTERS? ... Where was the IRS?

"IRS officials in Washington were involved in targeting of conservative groups" (Washington Post, May 13, 2013)

"The Internal Revenue Service apologized Friday to conservative political groups for giving their tax documents extra scrutiny," validating the worst fears of Republican activists who have long accused the Obama administration of politicizing the process. Roughly 75 groups were singled out using words like "Tea Party" or "patriot" in tax documents, Lois Lerner, who is responsible for overseeing tax-exempt groups, said on a hastily arranged conference call."(Politico, May 10, 2013)

Really?

"Posted in: Politics Posted: September 23, 2013 IRS Scandal: Lois Lerner Resigns From Agency"

Oh, now we know where the IRS was ... they were busy.
