New Raue shows a mix of comedy, music

The Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake has announced more shows that are part of its 2015-16 season.

In addition to the previously announced appearance of Paula Poundstone on June 14, other comedy shows include "Saturday Night Live" star Tim Meadows on July 12, "One Man Breaking Bad: The Unauthorized Parody" for two shows Oct. 18, Steve Cochran's New Year's Eve Comedy Show on Dec. 31 and "Sister's Easter Catechism" (another sequel to the long-running interactive comedy show "Late Nite Catechism") on March 26.

In terms of tribute bands, Heartache Tonight: A Tribute to the Eagles plays Aug. 29, Back Home Again: A John Denver Tribute & ESO play Sept. 19, Close to You: The Music of the Carpenters plays Jan. 9, One Night of Queen plays March 12 and American English: The Complete Beatles Tribute Experience is April 2.

Williams Street Repertory also continues its Raue residency with the 1960s musical revue "Beehive" from July 10 to Aug. 2, "Gypsy," the hit 1950s Broadway musical fable about the stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, plays Oct. 9 to Nov. 1, and Arthur Miller's American tragedy "Death of a Salesman" plays April 22 to May 15, 2016.
