LeGere's 2015 NFL mock draft

Editor's note: While it's easier to pick a perfect NCAA men's basketball bracket than predict exactly how the first round of the NFL draft will go, we still can't resist asking Bob LeGere to predict the unpredictable. Here are his choices for Thursday's draft, which begins at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

LeGere's 2015 mock draft

1. Bucs: QB Jameis Winston, Florida State - He could turn the franchise around or run it into the ground.

2. Titans: QB Marcus Mariota, Oregon - He may take some time but he's got franchise QB tools.

3. Jaguars: DE Leonard Williams, USC - They need help everywhere and gets draft's best defensive player.

4. Raiders: WR Kevin White, West Virginia - This team loves speed and this guy has plenty of it.

5. 'Skins: OLB Dante Fowler, Florida - Fills need for edge rusher left by Brian Orakpo's departure.

6. Jets: WR Amari Cooper, Alabama - With no QB upgrade available they get the next best thing, a go-to WR.

7. Bears: OLB Vic Beasley, Clemson - Workout warrior with elite sack production is ideal fit in 3-4.

8. Falcons: OLB Randy Gregory, Nebraska - Sack artist who draws comparisons to 49ers' Aldon Smith.

9. Giants: OT Brandon Scherff, Iowa - Might be better at OG but is a plug-and-play starter from Day One.

10. Rams: CB Trae Waynes, Mich. St. - Has size to handle big WRs and more speed than the fast WRs.

11. Vikings: WR DeVante Parker, Louisville - Got the QB in 2014 (Bridgewater); now they get him a weapon.

12. Browns: NT Danny Shelton, Washington - NFL's worst run defense gets an impact run-stuffer.

13. Saints: OLB Bud Dupree, Kentucky - A defense in dire need of playmakers gets better immediately.

14. Dolphins: OT Andrus Peat, Stanford - Has the potential to be a Pro Bowl OLT for 10 years.

15. 49ers: DE Arik Armstead, Oregon - A big (6-7, 292-pound) move to fill some huge holes on defense.

16. Texans: OT D.J. Humphries, Florida - With Peat gone, they take the next best OT at area of need.

17. Chargers: OT T.J. Clemmings, Pittsburgh (38) - Need help across the O-line but want an edge rusher as well.

18. Chiefs: WR Breshad Perriman, Central Florida - No WR caught a TD pass for them last season. Enough said.

19. Browns: OT La'El Collins, LSU - Address the other line after getting DL help at No. 12.

20. Eagles: S Landon Collins, Alabama - Could also go for CB help, and WR needs to be restocked.

21. Bengals: OLB Eli Harold, Virginia - Any kind of aid for the front 7 would be welcome addition.

22. Steelers: OLB Shane Ray, Missouri - Free fall ends for pass rusher whose stock went up in smoke.

23. Lions: DT Eddie Goldman, Florida State - Ngata helped depleted D-line; this pick completes the rebuild.

24. Cardinals: RB Melvin Gordon, Wisconsin - Thrilled when player at their biggest need falls to them.

25. Panthers: OT Ereck Flowers, Miami - Could start at RT immediately and eventually move to LT.

26. Ravens: RB Todd Gurley, Georgia - ACL injury may require some patience, but he's well worth the wait.

27. Cowboys: DT Malcom Brown, Texas - DC Marinelli likes to rotate DTs, and he gets a run-stuffer here.

28. Broncos: NT Jordan Phillips, Oklahoma - Could be centerpiece in 3-4 but has some bust potential.

29. Colts: OL Cam Erving, Florida State - Needing protection for Luck, get most versatile of top OLs.

30. Packers: CB Kevin Johnson, Wake Forest - One of few teams that can truly take best player available.

31. Saints: WR Nelson Agholor, USC - Need offensive playmakers after loss of Jimmy Graham, Kenny Stills.

32. Patriots: WR Phillip Dorsett, Miami - Brady needs someone to stretch the field, and Dorsett will do just that.
