Sheriff: Waukegan man had “extensive amount” of child pornography

A 34-year-old Waukegan man faces up to seven years in prison after his arrest Tuesday on charges he had “an extensive amount” of child pornography in his home, Lake County Sheriff's police said.

Saint Alexander, of the 2000 block of Washington Street, was charged with 10 felony counts of possession of child pornography stemming from the items authorities said they found after executing a search warrant on his residence.

Sheriff's police said investigators discovered electronic storage devices containing images and videos featuring children under the age of 13.

Based on the extensive amount of child pornography located on the seized electronic media, further investigation will be conducted to determine if additional charges will be sought, authorities said.

Alexander is being held in the Lake County jail on a $150,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court May 19.
