Tickets on sale Friday for Judson University's Inspirational Series

Tickets to Judson University's inaugural World Leaders Forum Inspirational Series featuring Serbian Australian evangelist Nick Vujicic go on sale Friday.

Vujicic was born without arms and legs due to the rare congenital disorder known as tetra-amelia syndrome. He will share how he overcame his physical challenges through faith at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Lindner Fitness Center, 1151 N. State St., Elgin.

The Inspirational Series builds on the success of Judson's World Leaders Forum that in five years has brought former President George W. Bush, former Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and former Mexican President Felipe Calderón to Elgin.

Tickets for the Inspirational Series are $50 per person. Tickets and sponsorship information will be available at JudsonU.edu/WLFinspiration.

Sponsorships packages will be available at different levels for business and community groups, with some packages offering the opportunity to meet Vujicic at a private reception.

The 33-year-old Vujicic struggled with depression and loneliness throughout childhood. He credits his faith in God for giving him the strength to deal with those challenges and for his passion for life, according to his website.

He established an international nonprofit ministry, Life Without Limbs, in 2005. Vujicic also is a best-selling author, musician and actor who likes to fish, golf, paint and swim. A husband and dad, he travels the world as a motivational speaker addressing more than 3 million people in nearly 60 countries. He lives in Southern California with his wife, Kanae, and their 3-year-old son, according to his website.
