Letter to editor: State testing a waste of time, money
State testing is just a waste of taxpayers' money and teaching time.
I taught high school mathematics for 37 years and this is how I view state testing.
We do not need these people testing what we teach.
Do they even know what we teach? What we should be doing is getting the people who are writing these tests in our classrooms, starting with the state superintendent. We should abolish this office.
I am sure that for some of these people it is a scary thought to leave a nice soft job and get in a classroom where you have to teach.
