Principle to build expansion for manufacturing company in Hillside

HILLSIDE - Principle Construction Corp. has been selected to construct a 75,363 square foot expansion for Dynamic Manufacturing, Inc., a company that makes automotive, off-road, industrial and racing powertrain products.

The building at 4249 Raymond Drive in Hillside is owned by 4201 Raymond LLC.

The site expansion will accommodate a larger warehouse and includes new water main, sewer and storm sewer construction, as well as light duty asphalt pavement for 52 parking spaces and three handicapped parking spaces. The 28-foot clear building features 10-inch thick insulated load bearing precast concrete, six overhead dock doors, one overhead drive-in door and 30,000-pound mechanical dock levelers and dock sealers.

Rosemont-based Principle will also include ESFR throughout, an air conditioning unit for the shipping office and supplemental heat via baseboard heating elements for the warehouse restroom. The warehouse has an addressable fire alarm system to accommodate the base building.

Principle's Paul Cohen is the project manager and owner Jim Brucato is the principal in charge of the project. Harris Architects, Inc., is the architect for the warehouse expansion, and Jacob & Hefner Associates is the project engineer. CBRE's Jason Lev represented Dynamic.
