Fenton District 100 seeking school board member

Fenton High School District 100 is seeking candidates to fill a school board vacancy in the wake of the April 7 election.

The board plans to fill the seat when it meets May 18 in the board room at 1000 W. Green St., Bensenville. The new board member will serve until April 2017 at which time a candidate will be elected to fill a four-year position.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens who are at least 18 years old and residents of District 100 for at least a year. This is an unpaid volunteer position.

Interested candidates are asked to write a letter of interest, including a resume outlining personal and professional qualifications related to serving on the board. Applicants should specifically explain their reasons for wanting to serve on the board.

Materials are due to the district by May 8 and interviews will be conducted on May 11. Additional interview dates may be added based on the number of applicants.
