Fall spots available at Rolling Meadows' Mini-Mustang preschool
Rolling Meadows High School Mini-Mustang Preschool Program has available spots for children ages 3-5 beginning in September.
The preschool is located at the school, 2901 Central Road, in Rolling Meadows. There are openings in the morning program between 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays through May of 2016.
Every Mini-Mustang's day begins with free time to explore different educational toys and games. Group time consists of structured activities designed to develop self-esteem and enhance learning.
Preschoolers practice the calendar, participate in show-and-tell and perform finger plays and songs based on the chosen theme for the week. The children have a choice of two educational activities, and their day concludes with snacks and free play.
High schoolteachers are trained to offer all students a high-quality education in a caring environment. All high school teachers are first-aid certified through the American Heart Association.
The program prides itself on a one-to-one student to teacher ratio, which offers individualized attention to each preschooler. The Mini-Mustang Preschool also provides inclusive education for students with special needs.
The cost is $100 per child per semester, plus a $20 nonrefundable registration fee. Scholarships are available for special needs children or families with limited financial resources. Parents may register their child or schedule an appointment to observe the preschool in session.
