Batavia stores welcome ladies for a night out

Batavia MainStreet is teaming up with local retailers to showcase what there is to discover in downtown Batavia.

Discover "Batavia Ladies Night Out" shopping event from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 30, will take participants on a journey through Batavia and allow them to explore shopping from apparel boutiques and bicycles to spa services and antiques.

Participants can purchase a Passport for $5 at any of the participating businesses or at www.downtownbataiva.com/discoverbatavia from now until the day of the event.

The $5 passport provides access to discounts and promotions at all participating locations and a chance to win prizes from the "Win the Window" display of donated prizes from participating businesses. Participants begin their journey at any location to pick up a complimentary reusable "Discover Batavia" shopping bag at their first stop. Then, travel with passport in hand to all the participating locations to receive specials.

When complete, just fill out the passport and drop it off at any participating business for the chance to win prizes from "Win the Window." Winners need not be present to win.

To see all the treasures that can be won in the window, stop by Salvaged Heart Vintage Wares at 14 N. Island Ave.

Go to www.downtown batavia.com/discoverbatavia for a list of prizes from the "Win the Window" and day of discounts that will be available at the participating businesses.
