South Elgin 12, Geneva 1: Mitch Butlivas and Kyle Hays each went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI as the Storm (11-2, 7-2) rolled to an Upstate Eight win. Dane Toppel and Jared Kramer (3 RBI) added 2 hits each while Joe Roberson also had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Nick Menken and Antonio Danesi each had RBI for South Elgin and Jake AmRhein scattered 5 hits with 8 strikeouts and 3 walks to earn the 5-inning win.
West Aurora 4, Elgin 3: Eddy Ramos was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Tom Sobeski and Mike Gonzalez added 2 hits each for Elgin in a 9-inning UEC loss. Brandon Stork and Kirtan Patel each had RBI for the Maroons (6-14, 3-8) as well. Ramos suffered the loss on the mound in relief of Clay White.
Streamwood 6, East Aurora 1: Winning pitcher Adam Sojda was 3-for-4, Jr Alvarez went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and Zach Campbell was 2-for-4 with a double to lead the Sabres (4-13, 3-7) to an Upstate Eight win. Jose Aguilar, Hayden Holota and Juan Payne each had RBI for Streamwood. Sojda gave up 7 hits with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in the complete-game win.
Metea Valley 6, Larkin 0: Zach Edgar allowed only 2 hits but Metea's Jack Szott no-hit the Royals (7-11, 4-7) in the Upstate Eight.
Hampshire 6, Woodstock 1: Tyler Schutt had a double and 2 RBI as the Whip-Purs (12-5, 2-0) won in the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division. Jayson Fleisner, Trey Schramm and Austin Luchtman each drove in runs for Hampshire and Jacob Manning picked up the win, allowing 5 hits with 8 strikeouts in 6 innings.
McHenry 9, Dundee-Crown 2: Brett Johnson hit a home run but the Chargers (12-7, 0-2) managed just 3 hits in losing this FVC Valley game. Jared Ludwig took the loss.
Cary-Grove 11, Grayslake North 0: Larkin Hanselmann threw a 3-hitter with 8 strikeouts and went 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Trojans (11-6-2) rolled to an FVC crossover win. Wyatt Mascarella was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Zach Forney went 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBI for C-G. Mark Smith added 2 hits and 3 RBI and Tyler Pennington drove in 2 runs while George Hartke and Willie Hartke added an RBI each.
Glenbard South 10, St. Edward 3: Joe Martell had 2 hits and Gino Domel drove in 2 runs for St. Edward (5-11, 2-7) in this Metro Suburban West loss. Nolan Theriault added an RBI for the Green Wave and Noah Enright suffered the loss in relief.
Chicago Christian 12, Westminster Christian 1: Frank Angiulo had 2 hits and an RBI for the Warriors (10-10) in this nonconference loss. Nathan Martinez was the losing pitcher.
Aurora Christian 13, Harvest Christian 0: Losing pitcher Chad Jakel and Dayne Fredercik had the Lions' only hits in this nonconference loss. Harvest is now 3-8.
