Tree of Life UU to host three-day rummage sale

Members of the Tree of Life Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 5603 West Bull Valley Road in McHenry, are assembling a huge, three-day rummage sale featuring a selection of only high quality and gently used contributions. It will be held Thursday, April 30 through Saturday, May 2.

According to Judy Stettner, the congregation's 'Rummage Sale Queen', "We will feature a remarkable and wide ranging selection including quality furnishings and home décor items, kitchen ware, books, music items, sports and fitness equipment, art and craft items, and very gently used clothing. We won't accept or put out damaged, soiled, or worn-out apparel."

The sale, which is open to the public, will be noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 1, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2.

On Saturday, all clothing is on sale for $5 a bag and everything else is half off the marked price.

Proceeds from the sale benefit the ministry and work of the congregation and 10 percent goes to support Compassion4Campers which provide a weekly lunch and needed supplies to the homeless over the summer when the PADS church shelters are closed.

No early birds are allowed.
