Laura B. Sprague students support American Diabetes Association with annual School Walk

Laura B. Sprague School in Lincolnshire continued its tradition of supporting the American Diabetes Association through the annual School Walk.

The event is designed to raise money for the ADA to conduct research and educate the public about diabetes. On Friday, students in kindergarten through second grade headed out in shifts to walk from the school on Riverwoods Road down a nearby path.

An all-school assembly was held in the afternoon to present a check to the representative from the ADA.

According to the Lincolnshire-Prairie View Elementary District 103, the Sprague School community raised $27,556.14 this year. Since 2009, Laura B. Sprague School has raised more than $300,000 for the ADA.
