St. Charles woman hurt in Fabyan Parkway crash

A 77-year-old St. Charles woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Batavia.

According to police, she was turning left onto Fabyan Parkway from the northbound left turn lane on Route 31, while another vehicle, driven by a 74-year-old man from Batavia, was proceeding west on Fabyan Parkway through the intersection at Route 31.

The two vehicles collided in the intersection, police said.

Police said the woman required extrication from her vehicle and was taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva for injuries sustained in the crash.

The man was evaluated and released at the scene by paramedics from the Batavia Fire Department.

No charges have been filed in the accident, but it is under investigation.

Police said drug or alcohol impairment is not suspected.
