Burlington Central 8, Genoa-Kingston 4: Avery Moore's solo home run to lead off the fifth inning snapped a 4-4 tie, and the Rockets added 3 runs in the sixth to complete a 2-game sweep in the Big Northern East. Central's 5 hits included doubles by Jake Johnson and Andrew Lauber. John Murphy singled and drove in 2 runs. Winning pitcher Dylan Berry limited the Cogs to 4 earned runs on 8 hits. He struck out 9 without a walk in 7 innings for Burlington Central (15-3, 7-0).

Westminster Christian 18, Alden-Hebron 0: The Warriors outhit the Giants 15-4 to win in the Northeastern Athletic Conference. Frank Anguilo threw 3 scoreless innings to earn the win, and he doubled and drove in 4 runs at the plate. Luke Weston went 3-for-3 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI and Adam Greene finished 2-for-5 with a double and 3 RBI for Westminster Christian (10-9).

Ridgewood 7, St. Edward 1: The Green Wave committed more errors (6) then they collected hits (5) in this Metro Suburban loss. Alex Lara allowed 6 runs (5 earned) on 7 hits and 2 walks and struck out 7 in 5 innings, and Joe Esposito had 2 hits for St. Edward (5-10).

Crystal Lake South 6, Grayslake North 0: Ryan Wilkening threw a 5-hit shutout with 3 strikeouts and no walks in this Fox Valley Conference crossover. Mike Avella (4 RBI) led a 12-hit attack by smacking 2 triples and a home run and Garrett Bright went 2-for-3 with a walk and drove in a run for Crystal Lake South (14-2, 5-1).

Wheaton Warrenville South 7, Huntley 4: The Red Raiders gave six pitchers work in this nonconference makeup game in Wheaton. Jeff Heinrich (2 RBI) had 2 of his team's 7 hits and Trevor Ranallo doubled and drove in a run for Huntley (5-11).
