Wheeling's Bob Chinn's one of highest-grossing restaurants in country
He creamed the Iron Chef.
Wolfgang who? No contest there.
Ditto for Guy Fieri.
Restaurants owned by some of the biggest names in celebrity chiefdom fall to Bob Chinn's eponymous eatery in Wheeling - when it comes to money. Lots of it.
Bob Chinn's Crab House is one of the top 20 highest-grossing independent restaurants in the country, according to the latest rankings by Restaurantbusinessonline.com. Chinn's raked in $17.2 million, according to the list, based on 2013 sales.
At No. 18, Chinn's beat out Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe in Las Vegas, and Morimoto and Guy's American Kitchen & Bar in New York. Only seven Chicago restaurants made the top 100.
What makes Chinn's a moneymaker?
