Glenbard West string players accepted to NIU String Chamber Music Encounters
Three string chamber ensembles from Glenbard West were accepted to participate in the 1st Northern Illinois Chamber Music Encounters, hosted by the world-renowned Avalon String Quartet and Mathias Tacke. The two-day event included intensive coachings and master classes culminating in a performance Saturday afternoon. Only five ensembles from across the state were accepted.
Representing Glenbard West were:
Kim String Quartet: Cassie Kim and Eleanor Kitcheos, violin; Alex Jiricek, viola, Sarah Swiston, cello
Kucher String Quartet: Natalie Kucher, violin; Andrew Gum, viola; David Kucher, cello; Madeline Abel, violin
Novak Double Bass Trio: Sarah Delany, Cate Fanning, Hannah Novak: double bass
