Habitat for Humanity to Collect Home Improvement Items During Library's Environmental Fair

Habitat for Humanity's ReStore Collection will accept donations of home improvement items from noon-3 p.m., Saturday, May 2, in the north parking lot of the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg.

This collection is part of the library's Environmental Fair, jointly sponsored by the library and the Village of Schaumburg Environmental Committee. Please donate only items which are truly reusable. No electronics will be collected at this event, due to a recent change in Habitat for Humanity's policy. A list of what is and is not acceptable is available at the Reception Desk in the library's lobby.

Other events taking place at the fair will include free environmental programs and demonstrations. On the same day, the library will also celebrate Comic Book Day for all ages from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Library visitors may choose a free comic book by visiting the kidsZone at the Central Library in Schaumburg, or at the branch libraries in Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park.

No registration is required for the Environmental Fair or Comic Book Day.
