Daily Herald report

Hampshire 14, Marengo 7: Trey Schramm was 3-for-4 with a triple and 4 RBI, Michael Kruse went 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI and Noah Schrader was 3-for-5 as Hampshire (10-5) won in nonconference action. Jason Fleisner added a double for the Whip-Purs while Jacob Manning was 2-for-4 with 3 RBI. Schramm also picked up the pitching win, going 4 innings and allowing just 2 hits with 9 strikeouts.

Westminster Christian 9, Northridge Prep 6: Adam Greene was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and Ian Merlak had 2 doubled to lead the Warriors (9-9) to a nonconference win. Justin Rasmussen (RBI), Luke Weston (2-for-3, 2B, RBI), Frank Angiulo (RBI), Peter Hahn (2-for-4, 3 RBI) and Jarrett Mueller (2B) also contributed to the win. Weston was the winning pitcher, allowing 2 hits with 6 strikeouts in 4 innings.

St. Charles North 22, Streamwood 1: Hayden Hokota had a double for the Sabres (3-12, 2-6) in this Upstate Eight River loss. Jonah Seckel was the losing pitcher.
