Barrington clinches outright West championship
Barrington's boys water polo team clinched its first outright Mid-Suburban West championship with a 24-11 victory over Hoffman Estates on Wednesday.
The unbeaten Broncos (21-0, 9-0) will host Wheeling in the MSL championship game on Thursday, May 7.
Conant (16-2, 7-2) secured a second-place finish in the West by topping Fremd 11-4 on Wednesday.
Schaumburg 11, Palatine 5: James Birriel led all scorers with 6 goals for the visiting Saxons, who jumped to an 8-1 halftime lead on their way to sweeping the season series against the Pirates. Jack Pyde had 3 goals and 6 steals for the Saxons (12-10, 3-5), and Edin Latic stopped 14 shots.
