Adler Park School celebrates Earth Day in Libertyville

Adler Park Elementary School students and teachers are celebrating Earth Day this week in Libertyville through various activities and guest speakers.

On Wednesday, students held a waste-free lunch and first-graders learned about apple trees.

Susan Shalit, from the Lake County Farm Bureau, visited Ashley Zeinz's first grade class and talked about apple trees and how apples are produced.

Earth Day events continue Thursday and Friday with students learning about water, farming, agriculture and fabrics.
